About Alumnara AI · Built in Belfast

Practical AI learning, built around people.

Alumnara AI is a UK startup developing online AI learning for adults who want to use AI with understanding, not just follow a set of instructions.

Founded by Liam O'Neill in Belfast, we are building a beginner-friendly route for everyday work. That means clearer prompts, useful practice and a habit of checking the answer before using it.

UK adults aged 18+ · Beginners welcome · No coding planned

Who we are building for

You do not need to be a technical expert.

Perhaps you write emails, organise meetings, explain business figures or plan projects. You can see where AI might help, but you want to know what is safe, what is reliable and what still needs a person.

Our focus is adult beginners, occasional AI users and people in non-technical roles across the UK. The planned course starts with shared foundations, then offers workplace pathways so learners can practise with tasks that fit their interests.

Alumnara AI Level 1

The planned course brings lessons, practice, a weekly study route and human-reviewed final work together. It is not open for enrolment. The price is not yet confirmed.

Target launch: Spring 2027

We’re aiming to open Alumnara AI Level 1 between March and May 2027. We’ll confirm the opening date once learner testing and final quality checks are complete.

This is a provisional target, not a guaranteed opening date.

How we want learning to feel

Understand it. Try it. Make your own decision.

These principles guide the course we are developing.

  1. Make the idea clear

Use plain English, short explanations and familiar examples before asking you to work independently.

  2. Practise with a purpose

Work with realistic, fictional material so you can learn without sharing confidential workplace information.

  3. Check before you trust

Compare an answer with its sources. Look for missing facts, weak assumptions and details that should stay private.

  4. Keep the judgement yours

Explain what you changed, why you changed it and when using AI would not be appropriate.

People and responsibility

Who is behind Alumnara?

Liam O'Neill Founder, trading as Alumnara

Liam is the founder and the person responsible for developing Alumnara AI. Alumnara AI is a startup business, not a university or an accredited training provider.

AI tools support drafting and development. They do not, by themselves, establish that material is accurate, accessible or ready for learners. Student Home remains private while content, safety, accessibility and quality checks are completed.

Human review of final learner work and feedback are planned for Level 1. We will explain the confirmed course arrangements before enrolment opens.

Have a question about Alumnara or spotted something that needs correcting? Email Liam at loneill2339@gmail.com. Please do not include confidential workplace information.
