What happens when I sign up?
You can download the free four-page Human-Controlled AI Starter Kit straight away and request one email when Level 1 opens. Joining does not enrol you, reserve a place or subscribe you to an ongoing newsletter. No payment is taken.
Who is Level 1 for?
It is being designed for UK adults aged 18 or over: beginners, occasional AI users and people in non-technical work. No previous AI experience or qualification is planned as an entry requirement.
When will the course open, and what will it cost?
We’re aiming to open Alumnara AI Level 1 between March and May 2027. We’ll confirm the opening date once learner testing and final quality checks are complete. This is a provisional target, not a guaranteed opening date. The price is not yet confirmed. Joining the waitlist and downloading the starter kit are free; that does not mean the full course will be free. We will confirm the price, access arrangements and terms before enrolment opens.
Why consider Level 1 when free AI resources exist?
Free resources are a useful starting point. Level 1 is being built to bring lessons, practice, a clear weekly route and planned human-reviewed final work and feedback together. A future fee is intended to support the maintained course, private Student Home, learning materials, assessment and learner records. No payment is being taken now.
How much time will I need?
The planned course has a 60-hour Practical AI Fundamentals for Work core and two 30-hour workplace pathways: 120 hours in total. The recommended pace is about six hours a week over 20 weeks. It is being designed for flexible online learning; the final access and progression rules will be confirmed before enrolment opens.
Do I need coding skills or paid AI tools?
No coding is planned. Activities are being designed for a learner-owned free ChatGPT account, with equivalent alternatives where a feature is unavailable or unsuitable. A paid ChatGPT subscription is not intended to be required.
Is Level 1 an accredited qualification?
No. Level 1 is an Alumnara programme name, not an RQF level, university course, Ofqual-regulated qualification or professional licence. One Alumnara learning credit represents one planned study hour. The sample Certificate of Completion is a concept, not an accredited award; final wording and completion criteria remain subject to programme approval.
What will happen to my email address?
The form asks for your email address, permission for one opening email and confirmation that you are 18 or over. It does not add you to an ongoing newsletter. You can withdraw at any time using the privacy page.
